When the machine starts to fail
The air no longer chills
The cabin is blowing hot
And the fans are screaming
I reach for the can
I shake and insert and put it back
High hopes the machine will revive
But it does not
Something is broken
I can hear a hiss
Like a dying breath
But this machine is solid
It has carried me for a decade
How could it be
This machine is not fragile
It hurls me forward and protects me from the elements
It feels alive under my foot
And shifts with precision when I tell it to
This machine has a life to it
Like a science fiction droid
It speaks to me
I hear it and listen
Many a night travelling
Through moon light and rain drop
I will fix this machine
For it is not just metal, rubber and plastic
