Last month I got to work with the YWCA in Grand Rapids and the Kent County Health Department on a PSA they wanted for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. I was partnered with a young women by the name of Emily. She took photos as I shot the video of each person seen. Her photos were featured as an exhibit in a well known local coffee shop down town called the Lantern. SAPAT (sexual assault prevention action team) is a community group that seeks to get sexual assault awareness out to the community. This video has been created for sexual assault prevention month (April) tacking the commonly believed myths about sexual violence. Each member of the Grand Rapids local community is holding a hand written sign that blows up the myths. This project was filmed all over down town Grand Rapids Michigan.
